If medals were given out for performance in the political arena Peter (The Smirk) Costello would get the melting Freddo Frog medal.
How long is he going to play out this charade of will he or wont he?
He obviously does not have the balls to challenge Lord Nelson and wants Nelson to just concede and he goes in on a free card.
You now have to ask the question, if he does not have the ticker to tackle Nelson will he ever have the ticker to be a PM, and imagine having him represent your nation in any sort of heated situations.
Freddo Smirk Man would melt.
He was a fair weather treasurer with more money than any treasurer ever had in history and the basics of education, medical and aged were neglected for decades so Turnaround Turnbull would have to be the man with the cleaner slate if Lord Nelson doesn’t survive.

I do have certain concerns when a government decides to bring in foreign workers when we still have an unemployment rate.
I know some of us won’t work on farms picking, be that or any menial task jobs as well so at that point we must ask ourselves about social service payments.
The thing that really worries me is having a society like America where they have beggars on their streets in affluent neighborhoods in tiered societies.
We have working poor doing their best, but the perpetual dole bludgers to me they are the people who should be bundled up and taken to the farms.
The people I am talking about are the ones that are generational families that live on the public purse and are the criminal element in our societies.
Also, its time for governments and judiciary to consider putting the criminals to work on farms that are crying out for labour instead of the expensive lock up and watch TV motels we house them in.
Yes, we will need some rethinking and yes it will be forced labor for their tucker, just like the working poor have to do every day.
Its easy for governments to take the easy way out and bringing them in short term but that has its problems as well, and we still have our aboriginal population to consider as another stream of labour to address, but I still maintain the habitual dole bludgers and convicted criminals put to the shovel would do our society more good than bringing in another potential tier of have and have not’s.

Why is it we have these targets put out there by the officials on how many medals we should win?
Amazing stuff from people who probably have never played sport but may be good administrators.
Its like the shiny bum reporters who report sport who never have played the game they report on but become experts behind the computer screen.
Our athletes have done us proud regardless of how many we medals we bring home as they were good enough to get selected to represent our nation and if we did not get the medal count speculation we have to look at the people who selected them and the administrators.
Shore the yanks and Poms out spent us but let’s get real here and look at the respective populations and then look at our performance, then ask why for 4 years our officials have relied on past results and expectations and expected a replay.
It won’t and didn’t happen in China.
The only heads to roll must be the Strategic Planners and not the athletes and watch them run for cover when the wring out comes after the dust settles in a month or so.
We will have to spend more to improve in London on our athletes but this time with a vision for the future not relying on the past.

For all of you who have had to sit through the hours of Power Point productions showing you how to manage crisis and think laterally its amazing now that the wanna bee’s in the Presidential race are both saying to drop the price of oil they will have to drill in environmentally sensitive areas which were taboo to the oil moguls.
Yes we have climate change, and a war started by some idiot who wanted to control world oil effecting supply in the Middle East driving up prices but that’s no excuse to attack pristine areas of nature.
No it’s not all about that at all and I feel we are in for it as well as we have oil deposits on the reef and Bass Straight.
It’s about using a perceived crisis to create an opportunity to expand a business. Remember Howard’s mates buying up the uranium sites after he indicated he was going to sell to India?
It’s a strategy using crisis to change and often deregulate the publically owned areas like health and attacking working conditions.
Creating fear then letting the privateers in creates the impression of doing something and giving your mates backhander leg up to make a buck and it has been done by most capitalistic leaders.
Be aware, and I don’t care who is in power they will all use this opportunity when required to achieve a political agenda, not the best for the society that elected them.

I suppose what we don’t know wont hurt us.
That’s the theory isn’t it.
Well Channel 7 is playing that card very well and if you listen to the ABC radio and then watch the TV you will see it not really live at all as they suggest.
We are getting it pre recorded not live
Yes its FAKE just like what they accused the Chinese of at the opening ceremony.
To me I am sick of the adds, and the self promotion crap they throw in during their planned breaks and its also amazing the yanks are not getting it live either and they had to have the games adjusted to their times.
There is no doubt every 4 years the live broadcast should be given to the national broadcaster only, and the commercials can compete for the replays as they are feeding us now.
Then they can fake it as much as they like and nothing will change from this charade they expect us to swallow now.

One has to ask has Bush ever moved from the cold war mentality of the 60’s.
For those of us who remember the Cuban Crisis where Moscow was going to put missiles in Cuba it just a reverse now the US want to put missiles in Poland.
And for what?
This is BOZO Brinkmanship on stilts as Gareth may have said.
The Bush War mongering mentality is now showing they are the world thugs and as they copped a belting when they tried to manipulate Georga to attack Odessa they now want to incite the Russians again.
Total madness from a person who parades as a leader whose actions are an insult to the average mans intelligence.
The scary thing is McCain however he tries to distance himself from the current administration is part of that era of thinking and will not be any better and it’s the Bush traditionalists that are supporting him.
The time has come for some leaders to rise above these old men who act like schoolyard bullies and move away from the confrontation solution and go down the road of open. frank dialog with each other and that solution would automatically take George Bush out of the equation as we have seen smarter road kill.
Have a look at this and it might help you get your mind around this important issue.

I have to ask the question.
Do we have any male swimmers at the games?
If so then where the bloody hell are they??
Only joking………..but it is great to see the new crop of youngsters hitting the water and their has to be a evolution of talent but the trick is when your time is up you go gracefully.
That’s where a few fall down.
They struggle to hang on to the limelight and in the end they do discredit their achievements and that goes for all sports people not only our Olympic contingent.
We don’t want drama even though the media play it up consistently to make their job easier and they don’t have to think, and dare I say it you know yourself when the time is right to exit.
I see a few drama’s coming up in the next few weeks and hope some wise person will tap them on the shoulder and usher then to the door and let them move on gracefully

It’s not surprising the big T’s opposition to and IR in the country.
Remember Costigan taking on the Wharfies, a planned event to destroy the trade union movement under The Little Deputy, and now Speedy Gonzales still pushing the same barrow as he was employed to do by the Deputy from day one.
Off shoring Jobs and Yankee culture in throughout the communication industry is the trend and down grading conditions is their mentality, where as the European standard of up skilling and smarter technology is seen as the way to progress.
Far too heady and intelligent for dumbo’s like Speedy and Boo Boo Burgess.
I live in hope Gillard will belt these clowns out of Australian industry and without the parting cheque.

Shock Horror!
The Chows put digital images in the opening and now the little girl in the show mimed.
So the critics of that brilliant show are had their little win to discredit the Chinese effort and I hope there small brains do not stray any further than that.
Who cares really?
Its all a show. Just like Hollywood and we should be used to that.
There are a few things going on that are just a little more important than that, like the American involvement in supporting the invasion into Europe and supplying arms, machinery and troops.
No, it’s a kids voice gets the headline!
How about ALL OF those top of town executives who signed off on the housing loan deal knowing the risks and exposure and causing a economic crisis in America and Australia that is sending the world economy into a tailspin being charged for neglect of duty to the public funds.
No, it’s a digital photo gets the headline!
We seem to have a slight priority problem here I think and things have just got a little out of whack and lets be totally honest here that little girl would never got a look in here as the selection panel would have discarded her even though she had the talent to sing, because of the Hollywood mentality, where this way 2 kids have been put on the stage not just the one Nicky overexposed Webster we had.

The opening of the games has had a chance to sink in by now and really what a show.
Looking at it culturally it told me how China’s history far outweighs or own as we Europeans have only been here for about 200 or so years and we still have not captured nor appreciated the Aboriginal history to its full extent in our present society let alone having it on the school curriculum for our future.
Also it showed again how a country with absolute power can organize their population to put their country on show be it voluntarily or forcibly we don’t know but regardless I totally enjoyed the performance.
China is and will be more a player in world economy and although some of us may not like the way they do business at home so we have to work with it and hope change will be generationally led due to technology.
Have a look at this clip and it will start you thinking about China .
